The NCSRT Leadership Academy
The NCSRT Leadership Academy is an online academy designed to develop leadership skills for new & upcoming imaging professionals in the state of North Carolina. The academy will culminate at the Annual Conference with a half-day session prior to the Annual Conference. Graduates of the NCSRT Leadership Development Academy will be recognized at the NCSRT Honors Luncheon.
Goal:
Build strong leaders in the imaging community through education. Create a succession plan of qualified individuals to serve in leadership positions, contributing to the NCSRT, Inc. for service to the imaging technologists in North Carolina.
Qualified Applicants:
- Former ASRT SLDP participants
- Current ASRT SLDP candidates/applicants
- NCSRT Active or Student members who have not previously served on the NCSRT BOD.
Topics:
- Understanding professional societies, the role of the affiliate, and its relationship to the ASRT
- Understanding the role of a leader in a professional society
- Protecting the Profession & Setting the Industry Standard
- Qualities of a Leader
- Dealing with Conflict and facilitating courageous conversations
Commitment from Participants:
(Minimum expectations) Selected participants must attend complete sessions of the retreat. Online sessions will be held in January, February, and March, with the required seated session scheduled for April 9, 2025 at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Convention Center from 12:00-4:00pm.
Participants will be encouraged to volunteer for NCSRT committee or at the Annual Conference at which they attend the onsite academy half-day session, (i.e. 2025 participates may volunteer at the 2025 Annual Conference or serve on a committee for the 2025/2026 term). Participants are also encouraged to stay involved in both their state and national professional societies to “give back” what the NCSRT has invested in them.
